Magnetic Stimulator Treatment
The method of magnetic stimulation is based on the generation of a strong pulsed magnetic field with a power similar to that of an MRI scanner. The pulsed magnetic field of magnetic induction of 2.5-3Tesla (=25,000-30,000Gauss) penetrates the entire depth of the tissues and stimulates all the structures.
This new therapeutic method is indicated for conditions such as chronic pain, tendonitis, arthritis, myoperitoneal pain syndrome, fracture closure and diseases of the peripheral nervous system.
Characteristics of Deep Penetrating Stimulation
- High treatment effectiveness
- Short application time of 20 minutes
- Direct and impressive way of application
- Pleasant sensation during application by the patient
- No side effects and contraindications
- Application even over clothing
BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS ON THE TISSUE
It acts on the body through the magnetic fields produced by 2 basic mechanisms:
- Stimulation of the deep muscular and nervous tissues due to the strong magnetic fields that penetrate all the depth and mobilize all the structures, compared to electrotherapy whose path of propagation of the currents is mainly superficial. This effect is aimed more at treating neurological conditions such as peripheral nerve damage, denervation of peripheral muscles, atrophy, muscle spasms, ankylosis, muscle strengthening, joint mobilisation.
- Magnetic resonance of all cells in the body through the transient orientation of the magnetic moment of elements with an excess number of protons in their nucleus (mainly hydrogen). Through this biological phenomenon pain problems, tendonitis, arthritis, fractures are treated.
The combined effect of the above creates the following biological effects in summary:
- analgesia through the production of endorphins
- improvement of cell membrane function through K-Na pump that determines its permeability
- regulation of the sympathetic-parasympathetic nervous system function
- hyperemia
- increase in white blood cells
- increase in collagen production
- faster calcification
- anti-inflammatory action
